Shaan will no longer host Star Voice of India - Chote Ustad
The face that made Star Voice of India a successful show, despite some stiff competition from other music based reality shows, has quit. Shaan will not be hosting the upcoming series Star Voice of India - Chote Ustaad. Slated to begin from 30 November it will be judged by Kunal Ganjawala, Pritam and Shreya Ghosal.
When contacted, Gajendra Singh confirmed that Shaan will not be hosting the show citing personal reasons. He states, "Shaan is taking a break as he wants to concentrate on films. But I guarantee you that viewers will see him in the next season of Voice of India."
When asked if the VOI team has short listed anyone to step into Shaan's shoes, Gajendra says, "We are still in the midst of the selection process, no one is short listed as yet. I am open to suggestions and have no reservations. If the person is talented and suitable enough to do the job then why not give him/her the opportunity. He/she can be from television fraternity or from the field of music."
Gajendra admitted that the team will miss Shaan as he is an integral part of VOI and musically no one can match his talent. "I can't say anything about the fate of the show, but we would feel his absence. He is the boss of VOI and he has promised that he will be appearing in some episodes of Chottey Ustad", he informed.
Shaan remained unavailable for comments.
And as the much-loved host takes a breather we hope the show does not lose its current TRPs
