Both were equals, well matched. Morally, as Pritam had pointed out, the award should have been split between the two. However, partisan voting made all the difference. Interestingly, Net voting on this blog shows Anwesha clearly ahead! So, congratulations for both the kids!!
I think Anwesha was clearly a better singer with a much larger range and extremely talent. But unfortunately, this is a popularity contest not a talent contest.
I'm sure Anwesha will go places with or without the title!!!

Both are good no doubt...but Anwesha showed variety and superb skill. She displayed a wide repertoire and truly has stage presence! Ash has a beautiful voice and she knows how to use it. Alas it is a popularity show and thus not truly a show to decide who is an ustad...b'coz that only the experts can decide!
