Rajat Tokas Celebrates Christmas With Star Voice of India Chote Ustads

Rajat Tokas Celebrates Christmas With Star Voice of India Chote Ustads

Its festive time and
Chhote Ustaad participants get
into the groove in a special three-hour long episode this Friday. This
Christmas, all the ‘little wonders’ of Amul
STAR Voice of India – CHHOTE USTAAD are set to fill the stage with fun
& frolic with their singing charisma. As a special surprise, Santa Claus,
comes to greet each contestant to make this Christmas even more special.
Moreover the presence of young Prithviraj, the very famous Rajat
Tokas, accelerates the enthusiasm of all the 12 Chhote Ustaads. Rajat is
not only awestruck by the performances but also experiences a range of emotions
by being a part of the show.

Keeping in mind the festive mood, Abhaas along with the contestants kick starts
the musical evening with a peppy number ‘Bam
Bam Bhole’ from the much awaited movie ‘Tare Zameen Par’. With
great zeal all of them dance to the tune while singing. Anwesha comes up on
stage and sings to the tune of ‘Chanda Re’.
Her performance gets her appreciation from all the judges and Pritam finds
Anwesha’s voice very similar to Shreya Ghoshal. The tiniest of all, Abeer
comes on stage to sing ‘Halka Halka Sa Yeh
Nasha’. He reveals that he hopes to become the next Sonu Nigam &
Hrithik Roshan. The pahari dragon, Prakriti Giri sings a sensuous number ‘Tinka
Tinka’. The Biking Khan of Rampur, Areeb earns a standing ovation for
his song ‘Jiya dhadak dhadak jaaye’.
Shreya is very happy since Areeb’s voice has become much better after he’s
worked on her advice.

The Delhi girl Soniya sings ‘Aaj Ki Raat’.
All the judges appreciate her rendition but insist that she can perform much
better. Vyom gets a huge round of applause for his song ‘Chaand
Taare’. Mansi, known as Chhota Bhaloo, enthralls everyone with her song
‘Mere Khwabon mein Jo aaye’. Her
expressions while singing leaves everyone amazed. Rajat gets on stage to kiss
and hug angelic Mansi. Aishwariya leaves the audience staring at her in wonder
with her rendition of ‘Pyar hua chupke se’.

The four contestants who have to pass the acid test are Gitashree, Shailey,
Jayant and Alpansh. Gitashree starts off with the song ‘Chabeela’
while Shailey shows her singing excellence with ‘Dil
Hai Chota Sa’. Jayant’s performance of the song ‘Main
Jahan Rahoon’ leaves everyone teary eyed and completely overwhelmed.
Rajat remarks, “I’ve never cried in my
life but Jayant moved me to tears.” Last but not the least, Alpansh
sings ‘Papa Kehte Hai’.

All the 12 contestants perform their best to remain in the competition but
sadly, one of them is evicted. Please note that there will be no episode of Amul
Star Voice of India on Saturday due to the Nach Baliye grand finale.

Shaan will no longer host Star Voice of India - Chote Ustad

The face that made Star Voice of India a successful show, despite some stiff competition from other music based reality shows, has quit. Shaan will not be hosting the upcoming series Star Voice of India - Chote Ustaad. Slated to begin from 30 November it will be judged by Kunal Ganjawala, Pritam and Shreya Ghosal.

When contacted, Gajendra Singh confirmed that Shaan will not be hosting the show citing personal reasons. He states, "Shaan is taking a break as he wants to concentrate on films. But I guarantee you that viewers will see him in the next season of Voice of India."

When asked if the VOI team has short listed anyone to step into Shaan's shoes, Gajendra says, "We are still in the midst of the selection process, no one is short listed as yet. I am open to suggestions and have no reservations. If the person is talented and suitable enough to do the job then why not give him/her the opportunity. He/she can be from television fraternity or from the field of music."

Gajendra admitted that the team will miss Shaan as he is an integral part of VOI and musically no one can match his talent. "I can't say anything about the fate of the show, but we would feel his absence. He is the boss of VOI and he has promised that he will be appearing in some episodes of Chottey Ustad", he informed.

Shaan remained unavailable for comments.
And as the much-loved host takes a breather we hope the show does not lose its current TRPs
